Abstract: The paper describes a microcomputer based scheme for testing of energy meters. The speeds of the test meter and a rotary substanded are transduced into electric pulse rates. The number of pulse from the test meter corresponding to a preplanned number of pulse from the substandard meter is counted in the microcomputer, which then computes the percentage error and makes the same available to the test engineer.
