Abstract: The paper describes a microcomputer based automatic testing of underfrequency relays. The microcomputer generates a gradually - decaying - frequency square wave signal which is fed to the relay through a low -pass filter and a power amplifier. The relay pickup frequency is measured and stored for printed. The operating time of the relay is measured at a fixed frequency lower than its pickup value and the same is stored and printedout.
