Abstract: This paper proposes a mathematical model for threephase photovoltaic (PV) system with maximum power point tracking (MPPT) control. The parametric equations of PV cell Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) algorithm for tracking maximum power from the PV source, integration of PV model with the grid through a three phase PWM inverter are discussed. Perturb and Observe method is used to track the maximum power point (MPP), giving the basis for the reference current generation and in turn effectively control the PWM inverter feeding power to grid. Single stage grid connected Photovoltaic (PV) systems have advantages such as simple topology, high efficiency etc. The control objective is to prove that the PV source draws maximum power and injects to grid at Unity Power Factor (UPF).
